The Colorado Office of Emergency Management offers this 72-Hour Emergency Kit List as a guideline for emergency preparedness.  This kit is very thorough and provides a good guide to all the items which must be considered in an emergency.  Do you have bottled or gallons of water on hand in the event of an outage?
